I am sitting in the cool basement jazz room of Sebas apartment in Boston and listen to the 2 hrs rehearsal of the "Collective" . Nice! Vacation has started, after waiting for 12 hrs at the Massena airport yesterday to fly to Boston on our way to Germany. This morning we went to Seba's favorite bagel shop and got special Boston bagels for breakfast. Since we missed the day to be with him, waiting in Massena we played ping pong in that same basement till 1am with all house mates, a good welcome. The table was just purchased and set up an hour before. Emotions were high and we got quite good at ping pong by the end of the night.
I brought a couple winter squash for the kitchen and they were checked twice by TSA since we were boarded twice in attempt to leave earlier. I should get them a CSA from here.
Hamburg is beautiful even in the winter time. Red brick houses with big windows and steep gable roofs, lots of trees (no leaves) and everybody speaks German. It is such a treat for the soul to be here for a month.
Tomorrow we plan to meet Kira's friend Ana who is a exchange student for the year near us. We are all excited to meet. We brought her bagels, sour patch kids candy and chocolate chips, all things she misses from home. What would you miss?
Anyways, just wanted to say hi and that I wish you all could be here, so much fun.
peace, Dulli
