It is nine pm and I am tired. I just realized that we put two of the greenhouse purlings in the wrong spot, where the hip-board goes and we have to take that apart and put them up in the right place, but there are also diagonal bracing in the way put up after. It will add 1/2 day to our ever so tight schedule to get the high-tunnel done before Tuesday. And the baby plants are patiently waiting to be planted, promises are made and renewed to them. We harvested 35lbs of mixed greens today, but that is all we have right now. Because of the cold spring the peas and spinach and all are so slow. Peas and tomatoes are flowering. The garlic is putting out scapes about ten days early.
I would like to start the CSA a week later this year, not tomorrow, but starting next Friday 6-19 with the Potsdam group and 6/23 at market with the Canton group. We will go a week longer in the fall to make it up. Thank you for your understanding.
Our CSA is currently down to 22 families with another 12 students starting in September. If you know any more people who like to join, it is not too late. I will not get stressed out about having enough for you.
After gardening Steve and I go to Salsa dance class and watch the women's world cup of soccer. I wish they held the world cup in December when I would have more leisure.
