yesterday was Seba's birthday and International Jazz-Day. We got to watch his show on you tube, what a treat, if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g19wUF0Cruo&t=7s
Last week I seeded 2400' of parsnips and all the rain has watered them well in. Also the first 100 tomatoes got planted in the high-tunnel. I had covered them with a single layer of row cover and when I went to bed last night it was already down to 33F and I got dressed put the headlamp on and marched through the snow to the garden shed, got out another row cover and covered them up some more. They are all well and made it through 29F. A fire in the wood stove of the greenhouse to keep all the plants in there warm.
Steve just helped me to design some more market price labels on the publisher program of the computer, so those are good to go. As a farmer you have to know all kinds of things to do it all.
The manure spreader chain went for fixing twice to the shop and seems to be 5 links short when I needed to add three links last time. I have to call the shop and see if they took out links or if I measured so wrong. It is too wet to spread anyways.
CSA sign up is ongoing, forms are attached.
Have a good week,
Dulli
