I just finished the Sudoku garden plan and everything has a place to go. Nine spinach and cilantro plantings, all the winter squash far apart from each others varieties to be able to save seed; the mixed salad greens after tomatoes with fertile mulch from last year, the carrots finicky not wanting many weeds because they take a long time to germinate and we don't want the weeds to get ahead and be big when the carrots are small.... so many things to consider.
I feel accomplished and can start planting outside this week, now that first spinach, carrots, Mixed Salad Greens and peas have a place to go. We don't want to plant and then later find out that space should have been..., all happened before....
We also prepared the farmer cabin we got a few years ago, in case any of us have to be isolated if we get the cov. 19 crud. So far so good. Three friends of ours are down with it, and are doing o.k. so far. We stopped visiting friends three weeks ago, luckily we have each other. We separated the dinner tables to give each other more space during dinners. Kate is sowing cloth masks for everybody for going to town. I went to town last week to invest my birthday money from Steve's parents into stacks of chocolate and some other supplies, so I don't have to go shopping for a month. I got a lot of stares for wearing a mask, quite the experience! As of this week it is recommended for everybody to wear masks.
I hope you are all holding up o.k. and can go out to enjoy spring. I have seen geese, robins, blue herons and the peepers (singing frogs) are loud at night. The crocuses are so beautiful.
peace and love, Dulli
